Patrick Morales-Lee
Patrick Morales-Lee, taught by painter John Virtue, has gained increasing recognition, exhibiting alongside Antony Gormley, Gavin Turk, Shepard Fairey, and others. His work is part of prestigious collections, including Soho House. Morales-Lee creates evocative drawings exploring motherhood, belonging, and trauma. He merges various female figures to symbolize the archetypal mother while also using himself as a model. His art reflects themes of rejection, desire, and shame, offering a raw, introspective narrative. Through intense self-portraits, he challenges viewers to confront identity and self-worth, prompting reflection on the nature of belonging and personal acceptance.

Since 2021, The Library has been a place for people to meet, share ideas and, perhaps, find someone that they might want to spend a bit of time with in person. There are no photographs, there are no instant judgements. Instead, our members answer an OR, a daily question drawn from one of seven categories from the Dewey Decimal system, sit back and watch their matches develop over time. This is SLOW DATING as an antidote to the fast and forgettable swipe culture that we have become used to in our digital age.
